Gianluca D'Elia

I'm a multimedia journalist from New Jersey, currently working for NJ.com and The Star-Ledger as a general assignment intern and social media specialist with experience in crime and courts coverage, entertainment writing, and managing a social media brand that reaches 1 million followers. A recent graduate of Rider University, I won regional and state awards for profile writing, in-depth reporting, photography and general news coverage while I was the news editor of Rider’s student newspaper, The Rider News. As an award-winning research scholar at Rider, I studied the impact of human trafficking on New Jersey and presented my results through a series of in-depth articles, video interviews and graphics. Throughout college, I interned for local news outlets in some of New Jersey's biggest cities and discovered my passion for telling important, compelling stories that impact communities and inspire change.
